Pembroke today announced the opening of a new Munich office, cementing its commitment to Germany, and bringing its office footprint to seven global locations.

Pembroke’s new office will be located in the Grade A, mixed-use Maximilianhöfe on Maximillianstrasse, Munich’s premiere central boulevard and exclusive luxury retail street.

Overseeing the new office will be, Christian Bosiljanoff, who will join Pembroke as Director of Asset Management in November. Alongside responsibility for the day-to-day asset management of the portfolio – including property-specific business plans, capital projects, tenant relations, and leasing activities – Christian will take an active role in developing and delivering Pembroke’s new German market initiatives. Christian joins Pembroke from PATRIZIA where he was responsible for managing a range of German assets; both in value add and core real estate.

Nick Moldon, Vice President, Head of UK and Germany at Pembroke commented:

Since entering the German market in 2010, we have expanded our portfolio to include seven diverse and significant mixed-use assets across Hamburg and Munich. As a business, we believe in Germany’s long-term growth potential, and are looking forward to increasing our exposure in the market with the opening of our new Munich office.

Recent lettings and initiatives at key German and UK assets highlight Pembroke’s commitment to delivering projects of value for tenants, surrounding communities and the urban environment.

In Hamburg, Coffee Plaza West, located in the Hafencity district, Pembroke let 2,250 sq m to DIS AG, part of the world’s leading recruitment and employment agency Adecco Group. The letting represents half of the total area of the building, with the top three remaining floors now receiving much interest.

At S-Kai the 14,200 sq m mixed-use building, Italian restaurant Mama is soon to open. This follows the launch of over 5,000 sq m of office space from floors two to five in September.

In Munich, in addition to launching Pembroke’s new office at Maximilianhöfe, fashion retailer Moncler will renew its commitment to the building by leasing an additional 460 sq m to its existing unit.

Also under Moldon’s direction, Pembroke is in the midst of significant asset management and redevelopment initiatives in London. A planning application has been submitted for refurbishment works at 25 Cannon Street, located adjacent to St. Paul’s Cathedral, which will modify the building appearance, include a new roof terrace and comprehensive interior redevelopment.

4 Cannon Street, a ground up development pre-leased in its entirety to Fidelity International, has completed shell and core, adding 106,000 sq ft of premium office space, new tenant roof garden, and ground floor public garden space in the heart of the City.
